But these flourishes don't mask mediocre performance, especially in the refrigerator's freezer and an ineffective temperature-controlled drawer. Since this refrigerator is a premium, I expect higher quality. Apart from that minor flaw however, this refrigerator is a great choice. It has a huge freezer compartment, which is unusual for counter-depth French door fridges. It also has a large capacity for frozen food, which is a big difference from other models. Inside the fridge, you'll find 17 shelves and compartments. The refrigerator compartment has 18.5 cubic feet of space, which is roughly on the same as the size of a French door refrigerator that costs this much. It has a decent sized freezer in the left side. But, it's not the largest one I've seen. You can adjust the shelves in both compartments for the perfect storage solution. The interior design of the GE PYE22PYNFS also looks attractive. The LED lighting is a nice touch and the storage bins feature the third shelf, which folds down to make it possible to store large items. The drawers have temperature controls that let you set them to Meat, Beverage or Deli settings. They're easy to open and close, however I found their textured plastic coatings to be a bit difficult on the fingers. The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator is equipped with a full suite of features you'd expect from a refrigerator at this price with Wi-Fi and app support via GE's SmartHQ software. The app is available on iOS and Android devices and allows you to control your refrigerator from any place in the globe. It also offers numerous options for customizing. It will also send you notifications when the door is left unlocked, when the freezer or fridge needs to be defrosted, and when the filter requires a change. It is nice if the GE PYE22PYNFS included Precise fill it's an option in a few other GE refrigerators that allows you to preset how many cups of water you'd like to dispense simultaneously. The fridge displays a countdown timer to reveal how much water is left, but it's not as useful as Precise fill. Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator The Bosch French-door Refrigerator is an impressive product. It's designed to appear like it's a seamless component of your kitchen. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also has a vegetable compartment that keeps vegetables and fruits fresher for longer, and two compressors to preserve food items. The ice maker we tested is one of the most efficient and produces the shape of a pyramid using only water. This refrigerator is the ideal choice for single household or kitchenettes that want a sleek design and top-of-the-line food preservation. This fridge was rated as the most efficient in our Refrigerators Test for a variety of reasons. The freezer temperatures remained steady at just a few degrees Fahrenheit, and never fluctuating more than a fraction a degree—this is key to preventing freezing burn. The fridge's fridge section also performed well, achieving the temperature that was set for the initial setting within a matter of hours and keeping that temperature steady over the course of our testing. Bosch is known for its high-end appliances. It's therefore no surprise that Bosch counter depth refrigerator is one of them. Bosch counter depth fridge can be connected to your home Wi Fi and Bosch's platform Home Connect. This app allows you to monitor and manage your fridge remotely using your smartphone or tablet. The refrigerator is costly, but offers great features and capabilities at a fair price. While the fridge is an incredible appliance but it's important to be aware of the limitations. You may need to get creative with tall objects because the fridge has a small shelf space. Additionally, the shelves are not sprillproof and can be easily damaged or stained by sharp objects. It is easy to take out the trays from the fridge, but be sure to keep them clean to avoid mold growth. LG Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator The LG LRFLC2706S counter-depth fridge is a great choice for those who need a lot of space in the space of a compact frame. It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. The fridge is built with a standard French door design, with two rows of shelving with spill-capture and a set of crisper drawers. The top shelf on the right can be folded down to give tall items more room. There's also a full-width drawer for food items and an internal water dispenser. One of the nice features of this refrigerator is that its ice maker is in the freezer, making it simple to move the ice to the refrigerator for use when required. The freezer has thoughtful design elements, too, like sliding drawers to help you to organize the place of your items. It also has a huge bin that can accommodate plenty of frozen food and an additional container for storing ice. Smart InstaView panel is another cool feature of the refrigerator. You can control the temperature, lighting and other aspects of your refrigerator from your smartphone. It's a simple method to monitor your refrigerator and control it, especially when you're not at home. The Smart InstaView feature is neat however it doesn't enhance the efficiency of the fridge. In fact, it took longer to defrost and chill food in this refrigerator than other refrigerators we tried. This is probably due to its greater capacity. The doors are a different issue with this refrigerator. They have sunken handles at the front, which allows shorter people to easily open them from the bottom, however they're not easy for taller people to pull closed without slamming the doors. french door fridge and freezer would have been much better to have front-mounted handles. The LG Counter-Depth MAX fridge is a great choice for those looking to blend the look and feel of a French-door refrigerator with an efficient design. Its capacity is higher than average for a counter-depth model and it cools evenly and has a good layout. It's also less expensive than the top counter-depth refrigerator that has an ice maker, which helps make it an attractive option. Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator This Frigidaire French door refrigerator is a good option when you're looking for a French door fridge that doesn't break the budget. It's a basic fridge that may not be as appealing as some of its competitors however, it does have enough features to make a suitable choice. Its main feature is the temperature adjustable drawer that helps keep food items like veggies and meat fresher for longer. It also comes with a huge ice maker and a water dispenser. Another great feature is the “Chill Drawer” that sits over the two crisper bins. The drawer allows you to divert some of the fridge's cooling power directly to this area, meaning you can keep food items that require special attention. This feature can be adjusted using an outside slider that is located inside the drawer. You can also use this to set a general cooling setting for the whole fridge, though I've found that adjusting the generic settings tends to have a better effect than specific ones. During my tests, the temperature of the refrigerator were fairly constant across the different areas of the fridge. Temperatures in the top and bottom of the fridge didn't stray significantly from 38 degrees, and even the middle of the fridge was within a degree of 36. This is a great performance but isn't quite at the top of our ratings. This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. You can also combine this fridge with an intelligent thermometer to get more precise readings of your fridge's temperature. The exterior of the Frigidaire is made of grey-bodied stainless that has a “smudge proof” finish. It blocks streaks and fingerprints better than other stainless steel finishes I've tested.
